C.D.C. Report:
" . . . A surgical site infection is an infection that occurs after surgery in the part of the body where the surgery took place. Most patients who have surgery do not develop an infection. According to CDC, surgical site infections are the second most frequently reported healthcare-
associated infection, accounting for 17% of infections among U.S. hospitalized patients."
According to C.D.C. (The Center for Disease Control):
Pertussis (whooping cough) is very contagious and can cause serious illness, especially in infants who are too young to be fully vaccinated. Make sure your infants and young children get their recommended five shots on time. Adolescent and adult vaccination is also important, especially for families with new infants.
The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.
